Nike Free Shipping: How Much Do You Need to Spend?

US member and guest thresholds, delivery fees, and when adding an item costs more than paying for shipping.

At Nike US, a $60 order qualifies for free standard delivery for signed-in members, but costs $8 to ship as a guest. [1]

The current US thresholds

Standard delivery on Nike.com US · before tax
Shopping statusFree shipping fromBelow the threshold
Nike Member, signed in$50$5
Guest$75$8

Nike bases shipping fees on the order total after discounts and before taxes. Members need to sign in during checkout to receive the qualifying benefit. The member minimum is $25 lower; that does not mean every order saves $25. [1]

Is adding another item worth it?

Suppose your member basket is $46. With the $5 standard shipping charge, the subtotal is $51 before tax. Adding a $10 item takes it to $56 with free shipping. You have removed a shipping fee but spent $5 more overall.

If you actually need that extra item, combining the purchases may make sense. If you do not, paying for delivery is the smaller bill. There is no need to buy socks just to make the checkout say “free.”

Faster delivery is a separate choice

Nike currently lists faster shipping at $15 for members and $20 for guests; its fastest option is $25 and $30 respectively. Those options are not available for every order. Use the estimated date shown for each item at checkout rather than assuming a fixed three-to-five-day delivery window. [1]

Before paying, check your sign-in status, the discounted basket total and the selected delivery option. For a quick estimate, use our basket checker with Nike US and the correct shopping status.

Better shopping experience

The goal is not more links. It is fewer surprises before checkout.
