I’ve been ordering from iHerb for years, including protein powder and other products. That is the experience behind this guide; it is not a claim that every order is a bargain.
For free shipping, the figure that matters is the basket after discounts, with your delivery address selected. A good-looking offer on the home page is only part of the calculation.
What is the current US free-shipping offer?
The U.S. rule used by BetterBuyWay is free standard shipping from $30, including an exactly $30 basket; below $30, standard shipping costs $6. Amounts updated October 12 using the site owner’s USD checkout observations. Confirm the selected method at checkout.[1]
Check the carrier options in your basket. iHerb says the subtotal after discounts must meet the applicable threshold, and not every carrier offers free shipping. [2]
A discount can change the shipping calculation
Take a hypothetical $34 basket and a 20% discount. The merchandise total becomes $27.20, below the $30 threshold. That does not automatically make the code a bad deal: compare the discounted total plus the shipping quote with the original total.
The saving on the products is $6.80. If the extra delivery charge exceeds $6.80, the discounted order costs more overall. If it is lower, the discount still saves money. This is an illustration, not a live quote or a promise that a particular code applies.
Why free shipping may not appear
iHerb lists address coverage, carrier weight or value limits, and item restrictions among the possible reasons. Its support page also excludes PO Box and APO addresses from free shipping. A large protein tub and a few small bottles can produce different options, so use the basket quote for the actual items. [2]
What about Rewards?
Do not assume every purchase earns an automatic percentage back. iHerb’s published Rewards FAQ describes referral and review credits, including $1 for each eligible approved review, up to 40 per calendar year. Standard referral and review credits have a 30-day expiry under the current rules. Check your account for eligibility and the credit’s actual expiration. [3]
Check the total, then the delivery date
Delivery estimates depend on destination, basket value and weight, and the selected service. The checkout estimate is more useful than a blanket promise of three-to-seven days. [4]
When comparing another retailer, match the product, pack size and final delivered price. This guide does not establish that iHerb beats Amazon or that one supplement brand is better than another. Start with the products you need, apply any eligible offer, and check the final shipping line before paying.
